The Department of Human Environmental Studies is housed in Scully Hall. Scully Hall was started in 1968 and completed in 1971. The four-story, 95,000-square-foot building includes many classrooms, laboratories, computer labs, study lounges and a food cart area.

An Instructional Resources and Technology Lab is located on the third floor. The lab contains many reference materials, computer workstations, video equipment and equipment for making instructional materials.

Southeast’s family life program operates three state-licensed centers:  Hoover Center (senior adults), University Child Enrichment Center and the Horizon Enrichment Center (developmentally disabled young adults).  As a family study student, you will be trained in these centers to work with a wide variety of populations and have the opportunity to work part-time or volunteer in these centers.
