Students who undertake study in history develop a frame of reference with which they can use as a stepping-stone to enter into any type of career field. Some of the career fields include, but are not limited to, the private sector, public sector, non-profit sector, education and small firms or individual enterprises. Within these sectors, many career opportunities exist.  For example, some students choose careers that can range from business research for advertising and public relations firms to researching and writing grants.
