Internships

An internship in history provides students with the opportunity to gain practical experience in a professional atmosphere. In fact, students who decide to major in historic preservation must complete an internship prior to graduation. Southeast students have completed internships at the national, regional and local levels.

  • National Trust for Historic Preservation (Washington, D.C.)
  • Gettysburg National Battlefield (Pennsylvania)
  • Vicksburg National Military Park (Mississippi)

Regional Internships:

  • Eugene Field House and Toy Museum (St. Louis, Mo.)
  • Jefferson Barracks County Park (St. Louis, Mo.)
  • Missouri Historical Society (St. Louis, Mo.)
  • Missouri Department of Transportation (Jefferson City, Mo.)
  • Missouri State Archives (Jefferson City, Mo.)
  • Missouri State Museum (Jefferson City, Mo.)
  • Missouri State Historic Preservation Office (Jefferson City, Mo.)
