Student Organizations Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) – A nationally and internationally renowned and award-winning student organization that offers numerous educational and networking opportunities for students. Membership in SME provides you with opportunities to visit manufacturing professionals and their facilities and offers you formal and informal leadership opportunities through fund raising, recruiting new members and visiting high schools for outreach programs. As an SME member, you are also eligible for competitive scholarships. Society of Photographic Artists – Provides students with the opportunity to do photographic work, such as developing and printing, and to explore and expand their experiences. Club events include trips to professional studios and picturesque locations and special photography opportunities, such as sepia toning prints. Membership allows access to Southeast’s darkroom and developing equipment for students not enrolled in a photography class.
