Admissions Admission to the Department of Music
Students seeking undergraduate admission to the Department of Music must meet the criteria for acceptance to the University. In addition, all prospective music majors must:
Students who are deficient in any of the aforementioned areas will be granted provisional admittance to the Department of Music and must enroll in 100 level applied music, music theory, aural skills, functional piano and a major ensemble. Students who are admitted provisionally may reapply for regular admission to the Department of Music after the successful completion of the first semester and the resolution of any deficiencies. Note: All music majors who have received regular or provisional admittance to programs of study in the Department of Music must have a Declaration of Major form on file in the Music Office. Forms are available from the department secretary and must be signed by the student and the Chair of the Department of Music . |
