Auditions Audition Dates: Saturday, February 7, 2009 and Saturday, March 7, 2009 Time: 9 a.m. - noon Place: River Campus - Shuck Recital Hall, Southeast Missouri State University What: Auditions for admittance as music major; scholarship auditions What to prepare: Instrumental: Solo or etude which demonstrates both technical and lyrical aspects of your performing ability. We also will hear scales and sight-reading. Vocal: One or two solos (contrasting if possible) from standard high school contest literature should be prepared. One ‘music theater’ or ‘sacred’ song may be used. Foreign languages encouraged but not required. An accompanist will be provided if needed. Keyboard: Two contrasting works which demonstrate both technical and lyrical aspects of your performing ability. We also will hear sight-reading.
