Facilities Crisp Hall, located in the heart of the Southeast campus, is home to the Department of Nursing. Originally the University’s Teacher Training School, Crisp Hall was built between 1921 and 1923. Recent renovations have been completed, and the hall also houses the social work and criminal justice departments and the Center for Health and Counseling, which provides students with health care and counseling services and health education. Nursing classrooms and labs are well-equipped and include Internet technology. Our Fundamental Skills and Assessment Labs feature up-to-date equipment, including computerized mannequins and the latest assessment instruments. The Department of Nursing Resource and Technology Room, located in Crisp Hall 322, features a wide array of computer-aided instructional resources to assist you with your studies. These resources include interactive video discs and CD ROMS that cover a variety of nursing topics. Some of these resources are also available at other student computer labs across campus. Kent Library houses a collection of nursing videos that acquaints students with essential professional skills as well as a variety of information on patient assessment and nursing techniques. The Office of Addictions Research is located within the Department of Nursing. For information contact Tammy Johnson, Crisp Hall 306A, 573-986-6413, tljohnson@semo.edu |
