Majors

Pre-Medicine is not a specific degree or major, but a pre-professional program that prepares students for medical school. This program can be taken in conjunction with any four-year degree program. Students planning to attend medical school usually opt to major in biology, chemistry or interdisciplinary studies.

The pre-medical program consists of a variety of activities designed to provide information to students interested in medicine as a career and to prepare them for medical school. The program is supported by a pre-medical organization and pre-medical advisors.

Additional information about the program is available from Dr. James Champine, Rhodes 312, (573) 651-2385, jchampine@semo.edu
