Technology Management - Sustainable Energy Systems Management
Southeast's technology management program is accredited by the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE). ATMAE sets standards for academic program accreditation, personal certification, and professional development for educators and industry professionals involved in integrating technology, leadership and design. Accreditation requires that the program curriculum be current and have high standards, include all of the essential elements, and maintain a competitive edge, so graduates can find employment compatible with their abilities and the demands of industry.
The sustainable energy systems management option in Southeast's technology management program includes energy efficiency and conservation, energy sustainability, renewable energy, and carbon footprint management of industrial, commercial, light-commercial and residential “systems.” This program incorporates hands-on experiences and management-related theory to prepare students to create a workforce that understands and is educated about the values associated with energy efficiency and conservation, sustainability of systems and processes, waste reduction, and use of materials and technologies that are friendly to the environment.
