Southeast's technology management program is accredited by the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE). ATMAE sets standards for academic program accreditation, personal certification, and professional development for educators and industry professionals involved in integrating technology, leadership and design. Accreditation requires that the program curriculum be current and have high standards, include all of the essential elements, and maintain a competitive edge, so graduates can find employment compatible with their abilities and the demands of industry.
The telecommunications and computer networking option in Southeast's technology management program prepares students to design, implement and support networked systems. Courses build a solid foundation in the hardware and architecture of telecommunication networks and systems; operating systems and applications; systems design and analysis; networking theory and solutions; types of networks, including fiber optics and wireless; network management and control; network and flow optimization; network security; configuring and troubleshooting.
