About the School

Southeast Missouri State University is a comprehensive institution offering more than 150 different areas of study. Located on the banks of the Mississippi River, the University is just two hours south of St Louis, situated in Cape Girardeau, a college town of about 40,000 residents. The Earl and Margie Holland School of Visual and Performing Arts at Southeast is comprised of the Department of Art, Department of Music and the Department of Theatre & Dance and students in these disciplines receive their training at River Campus. Students may elect programs of study that lead to either a professional degree or a liberal arts degree.  Bringing all the visual an performing arts together in one location offers unique opportunities for students to experience innovative degree programs and to work with other artists and performers on a daily basis and with so much to much going on, you'll need a calendar to keep up.
