CLEP – College Level Examination Program

CLEP Subject Examinations:

The CLEP exams Southeast awards course credit for are listed below. Most exams are 90 minutes and require a score of 50 or above to receive credit (exceptions are listed below). CLEP exams are given by appointment. Please contact Testing Services at (573) 651-2836 to make an appointment.

Payment Information:

The cost to take a CLEP exam is a total of $97. Two separate payments are required, $77 to CLEP and $20 to Southeast Missouri State University. Payment can be made by check or credit card. Two photo IDs required to test.

1. A departmental exam for PS 220, Missouri Government, is also required to meet graduation requirements.

2. Candidate score of 45-49 will receive 3 credit hours for 100 level course. Score of 50 or higher will receive 6 credit hours for 100 and 120 level course.
