DANTES (Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support) originally set up to help armed service personnel obtain credit for knowledge and skills acquired through non-traditional educational experiences, is now available to all U.S. universities. Testing is available by appointment; please call Testing Services at (573) 651-2836 to schedule a test date. DANTES exams are Internet-based. Two photo IDs are required for testing.
The cost of the exam is $90. Two separate payments are required, $70 that must be paid by credit card to DSST and $20 to Southeast Missouri State University, payable by cash, check or credit card. Active military personnel, veterans and military spouses may be eligible for DANTES-funded CLEP exams. Please contact DANTES at (850) 452-1063 for questions regarding an individual’s eligibility.
