ACT Assessment
The ACT is America's most widely accepted college entrance exam. It assesses high school students' general educational development and their ability to complete college-level work.
- The multiple-choice tests cover four skill areas: English, mathematics, reading, and science.
- The Writing Test, which is optional, measures skill in planning and writing a short essay.
- Applications must be received by ACT prior to the application deadline.
- Online registration is available at http://www.actstudent.org/
- Application deadlines are strictly enforced by ACT.
- Registration-$31; Optional Writing Test - $15 additional.
- Late registrations are $20 additional; Standby registrations are $40 additional.
- Calculators are allowed.

R-ACT (Residual ACT Assessment)
The Residual ACT is provided twice a year.
- Please complete the online application. Testing fee of $50.00 is payable to Southeast Missouri State University. Payment can be made the day of the test.
- Scores CANNOT be transferred to or from another institution.
- Calculators are allowed on the math portion of the exam.
