CLEP Subject Examinations all subject examinations, except English, are accepted from CLEP. (General CLEP examinations are not accepted.) Each examination is a 90-minute objective test. Credit will be awarded for each examination, which has a score of 50 or above. CLEP exams are given by appointment; contact Testing Services at (573) 651-2836. The cost to take a CLEP exam is a total of $90. Two separate payments are required, $70 to CLEP and $20 to Southeast Missouri State University, payment can be made by check or credit card. Two photo IDs are required to test.

DSST - DANTES Subject Standardized Tests are available through Thompson Prometric - DSST. The cost of the exam is $90. Two separate payments are required, $70 that must be paid by credit card to DSST and $20 to Southeast Missouri State University, payable by cash, check or credit card.  Active military personnel, veterans and military spouses may be eligible for DANTES-funded CLEP exams. Please contact DANTES at (850) 452-1063 for questions regarding an individual’s eligibility.

DSST Exams are administered at Southeast Missouri State University, Testing Services, Academic Hall Room 347.  Please contact Testing Services to setup an appointment, (573) 651-2836. Exams are internet based by appointment.

Departmental Exams Local Credit by Departmental Examination (DE) Each test is roughly equivalent to a two-hour final examination. Departmental Exams are given by appointment. Contact Testing Services at (573) 651-2836. The cost for a Departmental Exam is $70, payment can be made by check, credit card or student account. Please bring a Photo ID with you to the exam.
