Authorization is required to take the GED examination. Applications can be obtained through any Adult Education Center, Testing Services or State of Missouri GED Office Web site.
You must first send the Authorization Application and fee of $20 to Jefferson City, Missouri. When the authorization is returned, applicants should then call Testing Services at (573) 651-2836 to register for a test date. At that time, a $20 testing fee, payable to Southeast Missouri State University, will be requested and should be sent to Testing Services as soon as possible to confirm registered test date.
REMEMBER, you do not have a reservation to take the GED test until we have received your $20 testing fee in our office. Please allow seven days for mailing. The authorization form, Missouri driver's license or state I.D., and demographic form are required on the day of the test.

Candidates should report to the Show Me Center By 7:45 a.m. Late arrivals will NOT be admitted.
Signs will be posted to direct candidates to testing rooms. Testing lasts approximately 8 hours.
The authorization form, current Missouri driver's license or state I.D., and demographic form are required on the day of the test.
