Hilary Peterson, M.F.A.
Instructor: Dance, Choreography

Hilary Peterson, dancer and choreographer, received her MFA in Theatre Arts with a dance concentration from the University of Arizona and her BA in Dance from Hope College.  Miss Peterson specializes in modern dance technique and has studied the techniques of Jose Limon, Paul Taylor, Lester Horton and Bella Lewitzsky.  Miss Peterson is a seasoned performer and an active choreographer.  She has choreographed many works that have been showcased in numerous venues and enjoys artistic collaboration having worked with theater directors, composers and visual artists.  Miss Peterson teaches dance throughout the United States including at the American College Dance Festival Association Conference and most recently for the Jewish Community Centers of Chicago.  She is also an active member of the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO) performing a solo at the 2004 NDEO Annual Conference and presenting research at the 2005 Conference. From 2001-2003, Miss Peterson lived in Chicago where she performed in the city’s hit show “Floss!”, worked as a production assistant at the Ravinia Festival and was the assistant house manager for the Royal George Theater Center.
