Beth Scherer is the administrative assistant for the Department of Theatre and Dance. She is a native of Cape Girardeau and a Southeast graduate.

Beth loves being a member of the department.  The job presents many administrative and creative challenges. She provides student and office support; assisting with recruitment is a very rewarding facet of her job. Beth believes that the future of the department depends on the quality of recruitment efforts. She also contributes millinery and sewing skills to many of the department’s productions.

On weekends Beth can be found searching antique shops and yard sales for the “deal of the day.” She is an avid collector of flamingos, jewelry and ephemera.
