The Capaha Arrow

History: The Student Publications Building originally housed the Center for Earthquake Studies, which is no longer established on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University.

Building Use: The Student Publications Building is now home to the Capaha Arrow, Southeast’s student newspaper.  Established in 1911, it is currently one of the oldest college newspapers still in publication.  The Capaha Arrow is managed by Mass Communication students and publishes a weekly newspaper distributed throughout campus.

Fun Fact: The second editor of the Capaha Arrow was Rush Limbaugh I, who became a nationally recognized Missouri attorney and practiced law in Cape Girardeau nearly until his passing at the age of 104 in 1996.
