History: Group Housing is an arrangement of five residence halls and two houses, Greystone and Shivelbine. The five residence halls were renovated from 1999-2000.
Building Use: The Greek community consists of nineteen fraternities and sororities housed in the five renovated group housing buildings with Greystone and Shivelbine housing two of Southeast’s fraternities. Group housing is fully air conditioned with student selected furniture and paint, each is uniquely decorated by the student residents to create a sense of living in a “traditional” house with all of the conveniences of living on campus. Each floor in the buildings has laundry facilities with access to two lounges, a small kitchen, and a study room.
Fun Fact: In 1905, the cost for a student living in a Southeast residence hall was $13.33 per month. This figure included $10 for board, $0.33 for bedding rental and $3 for room rent.
