History: The original field house was lost to a fire but was rebuilt in 1951. Houck Field House was the original home of Southeast’s championship basketball teams. After the Show Me Center was completed and became the new home of the Southeast basketball teams, the field house was renovated in 1987 and 1995 to a better accommodate women’s volleyball and gymnastics competitions. Today, Houck field house seats around 1000 fans and hosts numerous events throughout the year.
Building Use: Houck field house is home to Southeast’s Athletic Department and ticket office. As the home base and locker room facility for the baseball program, it is also used for various athletic tournaments and team practices.
Fun Fact: Houck Field house was the site of Southeast’s Physical Education program before the Parker Building was built.
