Southeast Public Radio

History: The station, which began in 1976 as a 10-watt student-operated station has blossomed into two professionally managed stations: a 6,500-watt station at 90.9 FM in Cape Girardeau and a 9,500-watt station at 88.9 FM in Farmington. Southeast Public Radio is a National Public Radio member station and is affiliated with Public Radio International and American Public Media.

Building Use: Southeast Public Radio (KRCU/KSEF) provides in-depth news and quality music programming to thousands of people in the service region of Southeast Missouri and Southern Illinois.  The station broadcasts 24 hours a day from this on-campus facility and provides practical broadcast experience for university students and faculty.
