History: Wildwood has traditionally been the official home of the University president. The 8,800-square foot, three-story home was originally built in the late 1800s.
Building Use: Since he and his wife have lived in the community since 1991, current Southeast President, Dr. Ken Dobbins, was not required by the Board of Regents to move into the residence when he took the presidency in 1999. However, President Dobbins still uses the house for official University functions, dinners and entertainment programs.
Fun Fact: “Wildwood” was not always the home of the University president. “Wildwood” was originally a horse stable and then a winery before it became the Southeast’s president home.
