Safe ZoneSafe Zone Training is an LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender) Ally training program to educate faculty and staff about LGBT issues so we can better assist and serve all of our students. This is a two-part training where two one-hour sessions are scheduled one week apart; both sessions are required to receive certification. During this training, you will learn terms to use and avoid, definitions, and myths plus participate in self-reflections and group discussions about bias, privilege and how to create a safe, accepting classroom or office. Participants that complete the training will received the Safe Zone decal to display.
