Parent Communication

Our program has an open-door policy. Parents and family members are welcome at any time. We also encourage families to participate at the Center in a variety of ways, including reading to the children, assisting with field trips or sharing special talents or knowledge.
 
The teachers assess children on a daily basis in the process and context of their play, educational activities and routines. Teachers share these observations with parents at informal times, such as drop-off and pick-up. Communication is the keystone of a productive partnership between parents and teachers. Therefore, we encourage parents to talk with their child’s teacher frequently and will also arrange for parent/teacher conferences to occur once a year. Parents may request additional conferences at any time. We also offer parent bulletin boards, newsletters and opportunities for classroom involvement.
