These policies and procedures are in force for the production or procurement of the materials described without regard to the source of funds provided to pay for them. Responsibility for budgeting and providing funds is derived from or assigned to units and organizations on a widely diversified basis and cannot serve as a policy consideration in controlling University identity and image. The focus of these policies and procedures is the consistent and uniform application of University identity and image. Increased efficiency and economy through standardization are underlying objectives of the University graphics standards.


The University has a multi-vendor contract for procurement of printing and copying services. Currently there are six pre-certified vendors for work covered under option 1.  Concord Printing was awarded the contract for option 2 (professional business package) and option 3 (quick-copy needs). University name and symbols are trademarks of Southeast Missouri State University. Use of the University name and symbol on products for resale requires approval by the licensing coordinator.

The non-discrimination and handicap statements should appear on all publications.


Appeals on the application of the policies and procedures may be directed to the Office of Public Services/Publications. Results of an appeal could be one of the following:

  • One-time exception in writing
  • Modification of policies and procedures
  • Denial of appeal
