University Studies Course Approval Document (CAD)

We are not accepting Course Approval Documents until the moratorium has been lifted which will be around April 1, 2012.  A simplified CAD is in the process.  If you have started a CAD, you will need to use the new simplified version to submit your document.

University Studies Temporary Course Request

If your department has a course that you want to teach one semester as a University Studies course, please submit an email to Dr. Sophia Scott (sscott@semo.edu) with a syllabus for the course.  When she approves the temporary course, please follow these steps:

1.  Get a Temporary Course Approval Document from the Registrar's office, complete the form, and ask your Chairperson to sign it.

2.  Send the form to the University Studies office at Mail Stop 4650 (or you can bring it to Kent Library room 305).

Dr. Scott will sign the document, and it will be sent to the Registrar's office.  The Registrar's office will enter the course in Banner.

The University Studies office will contact your department administrative assistant to get details for the semester in which the course will be taught.  Once all information has been obtained, University Studies personnel will enter the course in Banner for the appropriate semester.
