I began working with the Office of Web Design & Support as a student developer in 2006, was awarded a full-time internship in the spring of 2008, and upon graduation was offered a position on the Web Design & Support team. I am currently responsible for administering the Semo.edu domain by overseeing all aspects of the Open Text content management system. I am tasked with developing and updating HTML templates and global stylesheets, directing social media initiatives, vetting content and markup for style and branding adherence, overseeing the maintenance and operation of our Open Text installation, designing graphical elements, maintaining a massive archive of documents and multimedia, and providing technical support for over 150 departmental editors campus-wide.
I am fluent in the industry-standard software packages, and through my years of experience working with the creative and executive marketing professionals at Marketing & University Relations, I have developed a keen ability to work cooperatively with a diverse team to generate quality marketing projects with minimal turn-around. In addition to my talents as a web developer, I also provide promotional voice-over spots for the Department of Athletics and as an avid photographer I have also provided countless photographs for display on Southeast's website, as well as numerous publications and design projects for the University.
In addition to administering Southeast's web presence, I also instruct a course in Open Text web editing including the basics of HTML markup and semantics through the School of Extended Learning & Continuing Education. I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Technology Management degree through Southeast's Industrial & Engineering Technology Department.
