To use Turnitin, you must first create a user profile. To create a profile click here. After creating a profile, you will receive an email confirmation.
Subsequently, you may visit http://www.turnitin.com/en_us/home and log in using your email account and password you chose when creating your profile.
To fully activate your account with Turnitin.com, you will need an account ID and 'user join password'. This is used to establish your profile as being associated with the University's subscription to this service.
To obtain the account ID and join password, contact the Center for Writing Excellence at firstname.lastname@example.org, phone 651-2460.

To submit a paper, instructors must first create a class and an assignment. Instructors at schools with institutional or department accounts will first need to create a user profile before they can login. Once logged in, the instructor will join his or her school's account using the account ID and account join password.
If instructors choose to have their students submit papers, students must first create a user profile. Then, students will login and enroll in the instructor's class with the class ID and class enrollment password.
