Education (industrial tech and math). My parents are both lifetime educators and I enjoy trying to positively affect the world around me.

Why did you choose to attend Southeast?

Great program for my major, proximity to home, track and field program.

Who influenced you most during your time at Southeast?

Danny Rees, plumber for facilities management, but more importantly to me, my boxing and life coach.

Doug Koch, professor in industrial education and the reason I stuck with education.

Share your best college memory.

My professors. Mr. Koch, Dr. Wang, Dr. Downey, Dr. Ray, Dr. Roberts, Ms. Talbut, Dr. Ragu. Some I am certainly forgetting right now.

Describe Southeast in three words.

My adult home

What is your greatest professional accomplishment?

I'll let you know in 10 years.

How did your education at Southeast prepare you for what you are doing today?

Even though I coach, I use my experience as an educator and advisor every single day with my student athletes

What advice would you give current students or recent graduates interested in pursuing a career in your professional field?

Job shadow, intern, work for free, get your name out there and don't expect to be handed anything.

What do you wish you had known before graduating and entering the "real world"?

That your degree doesn't have to define your career, just the process of getting the degree prepares you for numerous walks of life.
