HIV and Other STI (Sexually Transmitted Infection) Testing

HIV Testing

Southeast students, faculty and staff have two testing options at the Campus Health Clinic.

  1. Confidential testing during an office visit
During an office visit, your provider may give you the option to be tested for HIV. If you choose to be tested, the testing will be confidential, but not anonymous. There will be a charge for the HIV test, and results are generally available in 2-5 business days.

To schedule an appointment, please call 573-651-2270 or stop by to see our secretary.

  2. HIV Testing during an office visit or nurse visit
HIV testing is not free once a year. There is a charge for all STD testing. You can get tested at the Campus Health Clinic through the state of Missouri. Results are generally available in 2-3 weeks.

STI Screening

Together, you and your clinician will determine what tests, if any, are appropriate. Tests may require:

  • An oral, skin, vaginal, penile, or rectal swab
  • A cervical culture or a blood draw

STI tests available through the Campus Health Clinic include:

  • Chlamydia/Gonorrhea
  • Syphillis/Trichomoniasis
  • Herpes
  • HIV

All testing, treatment, and counseling are handled in a strictly confidential manner.

The Campus Health Clinic can also provide you with educational assistance and/or referral for any other sexual health questions or concerns you may have.
