Southeast Missouri State University is opening its classrooms, labs, and studios to the public for an afternoon of discovery, creativity and innovation. On Thursday, Oct. 16, students, faculty, alumni and community members are invited to step behind the scenes during SEMO’s Academic Showcase, a celebration of hands-on learning and fearless exploration across every college.
From live demonstrations and alumni panels to immersive tours and creative performances, visitors can explore the spaces where SEMO students shape ideas into impact. The showcases will span all five colleges and Kent Library, giving guests the chance to experience the best of what SEMO has to offer up close and in action.
“SEMO is a place where learning happens by doing,” said SEMO Interim Provost Dr. Doug Koch. “This showcase give our students, alumni, and community a chance to see that spirit in action—how curiosity, creativity, and collaboration come together to shape the future.”
