Robert F. Shuck III Scholarship Endowed at Southeastby News Bureau on
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., April 25, 2013 – The Robert F. Shuck III Scholarship has been endowed through the Southeast Missouri University Foundation.
The scholarship was established by Robert F. Shuck III of St. Pete Beach, Fla.
The recipient of this scholarship will be an enrolled full-time Southeast student who is majoring in business and who has been admitted to the major. The student must have successfully completed at least 60 credit hours, including all lower-division support and core courses for the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) program, and be advised through the appropriate academic department.
If the recipient is a first-semester junior and making satisfactory progress toward completing the BSBA degree program, the scholarship will be automatically renewed for his/her senior year if the student maintains an overall GPA of 3.0.
Shuck is a 1959 graduate of Southeast with a Bachelor of Science in business administration and a major of accounting. Shuck received the Friend of the University Award in 2008 and the Alumni Merit Award in 1994 in recognition of his achievements and contributions to the University. He has also served on the Southeast Missouri University Foundation Board of Directors since 1995 and was chairman of the board from 2004-2006. Shuck also is a member of the University Foundation’s President’s Council and is a founding member of the Copper Dome Society. In addition, the Robert F. and Gertrude L. Shuck Music Recital Hall was named in recognition of his parents for his contributions to the University.
