Annual Audits Top Board of Regents Agendaby News Bureau on
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Dec. 17, 2013 – The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents will consider accepting annual audits from Rubin Brown for fiscal year 2013 when it meets at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 18 in the Board of Regents Room in Academic Hall.
The annual financial report, the A-133 Single Audit Report on the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards and the System Facilities Financial Report, all for the year ending June 30, 2013, will be presented.
The Regents also will consider a proposal to approve incidental fees equal to the in-state graduate incidental fee for all students enrolled in a graduate degree program who are current members of the National Education Association (NEA) beginning with the fall 2014 semester. The fee proposal is associated with the recent acceptance of Southeast’s College of Education as one of four university programs to partner with NEA to offer graduate education curriculum. One requirement is a pricing advantage for NEA members. Under the proposal, Southeast in-state graduate incidental fee would be extended to all NEA members enrolled in Southeast courses.
The Board also will consider approving two Faculty Senate bills on regular faculty appointments and the five-year academic calendar, and resolutions of honor for Dr. Dennis Holt, who is retiring as special assistant to the president for institutional research and assessment, formerly vice president for enrollment management and student success, and Kevin Magnan, student Regent whose term on the Board has expired. The Regents also will consider conferring degrees.
The Regents will consider a motion to go into a closed session for appropriate considerations. When the open session reconvenes, the final item on the agenda will be consideration of a motion to adjourn.
