High School Counselor Information

We know what an important partner you are in helping students find the college that’s right for them.

We want to share as much about SEMO with you as we can in hopes you can help us find our next flock of Redhawks who are going to do great things.

If you aren’t familiar with SEMO, allow us to share just a bit. First, we’re a school of doers and hard workers. Our students know they will earn everything they get. Our faculty know our small campus means they can give students the time and attention they need. Our mission means we educate students ready to take on the world. And, to do that, we have to offer them groundbreaking academics, looking toward the marketplace, so they’re ready for a career. Finally, more than a few students have told us when they visited, it just felt like home.

Need Admissions Assistance?

Our admissions team is committed to building relationships with students, families, and counselors throughout the college search process. Each admissions counselor serves a designated territory, making it easy to connect with someone who understands your region and can provide personalized support. Whether you have questions about admissions requirements, scholarships, campus visits, or the application process, your admissions counselor is ready to help.

SEMO Events

The best way for students to discover if a college is the right fit is to experience it firsthand. Throughout the year, SEMO hosts campus visits, preview events, academic showcases, and special programs designed to help students explore their future. We also offer opportunities specifically for high school counselors to connect with admissions staff, learn about new programs and initiatives, and stay informed about what's happening at SEMO.

First Generation Students

Being the first in a family to attend college is a significant achievement, but navigating the admissions and financial aid process can sometimes feel overwhelming. SEMO is committed to helping first-generation students and their families understand each step of the college journey. Our First-Generation Student Resources provide helpful information, common college terminology, and guidance designed to make the process more accessible and easier to navigate. We believe every student deserves the opportunity to pursue their goals with confidence!
