Board of Regents News Regents Approve First Phase of Parking Development Project Along Broadway (4/3/2009) The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents today approved the conceptual design and budget for the first phase of a parking development project along Broadway at the intersections at Henderson and at Pacific. Regents Approve Adding Grades 9-12 at Lift for Life Academy (2/18/2008) The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents today amended the original charter for the Lift for Life Academy, a St. Louis charter school, adding grades 9 through 12 to its present grades 6 to 8 over the next four years. Regents Approve Room and Board Rates, Residence Life Budget for 2008-2009 (2/18/2008) The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents today approved new room rates and a $17 million Residence Life budget for fiscal 2009. Foundation Purchases Henderson House (12/14/2007) The Southeast Missouri University Foundation has purchased the Henderson House property at 373 N. Regents Approve New HVAC System at Sikeston Campus (12/14/2007) The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents today approved a motion to proceed with the replacement of the HVAC system at Southeast Missouri State University – Sikeston. Southeast to Discontinue Co-Generation of Electricity at Campus Power Plant (12/14/2007) The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents today approved a motion to discontinue co-generation of electricity at the campus power plant. Regents Reappoint Byrd to River Campus Board of Managers (12/14/2007) The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents today approved the reappointed of Thomas Swayne Byrd as a University representative on the River Campus Board of Managers. Regents Approve Architectural, Engineering, Construction Management Services to Build New Residence Hall (12/14/2007) The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents today approved contracting for architectural, engineering and construction management services to build a new residence hall at the corner of Broadway and Henderson streets. Regents Grant Faculty Sabbatical Leaves (12/14/2007) The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents today granted sabbatical leaves to two faculty members during a closed session meeting of the board. Regents Approve Revised Core Curriculum Guidelines (10/26/2006) The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents today adopted the revised Coordinating Board for Higher Education (CBHE) recommended high school core curriculum policy guidelines, which increased the number of units needed to graduate from a Missouri public high school from 22 to 24. The new CBHE policy becomes applicable with this year’s ninth grade class. Southeast School of Polytechnic Studies Offers New Option for Industrial Technology Students (10/26/2006) The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents today approved a proposal to add a facilities management option to the Department of Industrial and Engineering Technology’s (IET) existing bachelor of science in industrial technology degree. Regents Rename Area Higher Education Centers (10/26/2006) Three of Southeast Missouri State University’s area higher education centers were designated as regional campuses under a proposal adopted today by the Southeast Board of Regents. |
