Dr. Cook joined the faculty in 1998. She is a full-time instructor and clinical supervisor. She has clinical experience as a public school clinician and as a speech-language pathologist in inpatient and outpatient medical settings and long-term care. Her areas of interest are fluency disorders and counseling persons with communication disorders and their caregivers.  She is a certified Lee-Silverman Voice Therapy provider, a certified dispenser of the SpeechEasy fluency device and certified through the Lidcombe Program of Early Suttetering Intervention.  Dr. Cook is the Coordinator of the University Speech and Hearing Clinic and also a co-advisor of the Southeast chapter of the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
