The mission of Southeast Missouri State University's entrepreneurship education program is to foster the entrepreneurial spirit by providing experiences that inspire and encourage students, regardless of their career aspirations or what they go on to do in life, to embrace creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship. Fundamental to this mission is our belief that new venture creation is a process that can be taught, but entrepreneurship is a mindset...a way of life.
Management-Entrepreneurship Major
The entrepreneurship option of Southeast Missouri State University’s management program offers a unique learning experience to students who aspire to build, promote and manage their own businesses. They also learn how to apply their creativity and energy to make existing businesses more productive. The AACSB Accredited Harrison College of Business is highly committed to being an educational institution of excellence in the field of business administration and welcomes highly qualified students who have demonstrated academic success. Entrepreneurship Minors
Recognizing that students in any discipline may benefit from knowledge of entrepreneurial processes, seven new entrepreneurship minors are now available through collaborations between colleges on the Southeast campus. These are 15 or 18-hour interdisciplinary minors which combine coursework in entrepreneurial methods with coursework in the following disciplines:

Agriculture/Horticulture Entrepreneurship
A 15-hour program that allows students to explore the myriad of business and career possibilities that exist, both within and outside traditional venues of agriculture and horticulture, and receive instruction on reinventing current business models through innovative processes and the incorporation of agricultural technology. Industrial Engineering Technology Entrepreneurship

College Real World Experiences
A number of co-curricular programs also provide Southeast students hands-on experiences that connect conceptual learning with practical applications. The co-curricular track provides students studying entrepreneurship the opportunity to take action and move their ideas to realities.
Student Competitions and Activities
The Douglas C. Greene Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship provides a variety of opportunities for students to participate in competitions, network with successful entrepreneurs, develop new ventures and link concepts with experience.
The Start-Up Studio
The Start-Up Studio is a business incubator for student enterprises and provides students a creative space to develop start-up ideas and collaborate.
Redhawks Collegiate Entrepreneurs Student Organization
This organization will inspire and encourage students to think and act in innovative and enterprising ways: to adopt an entrepreneurial mindset, to think big, and to unleash their ideas.
