Books Available for Checkout:

  • IRTC Resource Library - Students are encouraged to look through our extensive library of resource materials when preparing lesson plans; most books are available for checkout.
  • PRAXIS II Exam Study Guides - Students can check out study guides from the IRTC for up to 2 weeks at a time.
  • A selection of early literacy "big books."

Collaborative Workspace/Special Needs Lab:

  • Available for reservation by individuals or small groups (up to 6 people) - please contact the IRTC at 573-986-6881 or irtc@semo.edu to reserve this space
  • Has a 42" monitor for ease of viewing by small groups or the visually-impaired
  • Has assistive technology available (e.g., Read & Write 9 Gold)
  • Has a copy of Raptivity Himalaya available for use by students and faculty - click here for a list of all available templates
  • Has a webcam for use with specialized course assignments
  • Headsets with microphones are available for checkout within the lab for use with the webcam or speech-to-text software

  • Ellison die cut machines, including 4 complete alphabets and a variety of other designs - click here for a complete list of available die cuts as of November 2010

  • CD/DVD burning tower (can burn up to 11 discs at one time) - bring your own media - if you need to purchase CDs or DVDs through the IRTC, we require one week advance notice to acquire media for you to purchase
  • Large work area with a variety of materials available (e.g, glue, glue sticks, hot glue gun, scissors, shaped scissors, markers, crayons, pastellos, chalk, etc.)
