Dr. Sandipan Sen
Sandipan (Sandy) Sen received his PhD from the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management, University of Memphis, with Marketing being his major concentration and Cognitive Psychology being his minor area. He has earned his Masters in Business Administration with an emphasis on marketing, and Bachelors in Electronics Engineering from University of Mumbai, India. He has also taught Marketing Management, E-commerce Marketing, International Marketing, Advertising and Sales Promotion and Business Statistics to undergrad classes for 4 years at the University of Memphis and University of Tennessee at Martin. The research areas that are of major interest to him are Consumer Behavior, Advertising and Promotion, Services Marketing, and Pricing. Most of his completed and ongoing research is related, but not limited, to these areas. Sandipan has a number of publications including several conference proceedings. His dissertation is titled, Understanding the Internal Reference Price in an Online Shopping Context. Sandipan is a member of American Marketing Association, Marketing Management Association and Society for Marketing Advances and also reviews manuscripts for AMA Summer Educator's Conference (2006, 2007) and Journal of Product Innovation Management.
Sandipan also has 4 years of corporate experience in an International Advertising Agency at Mumbai, India prior to joining the University of Memphis.
