Summer Lessons

We highly recommend that students take at least a 4-week session of lessons during the summer months. Since there are so many weeks off between spring and fall semesters, skills can easily be forgotten during long breaks.

Your first step is to check with your teacher to compare summer schedules and decide whether you should enroll for 4, 6, or 8 lessons, which can be taken at any time between spring and fall semesters (no set timeframe). If your teacher is not available for summer teaching, please call the Academy office at 651-2378 to see if temporary reassignment to a different teacher is possible.

Step two is to register online at www.semo.edu/musicacademy/ . Instructional fees must be paid before the first lesson. Discounts and scholarships are not available. Email sbschaffner@semo.edu or call Steve Schaffner at 573-651-2378 if you have questions.
