Southeast Bass Anglers Finish Second at Kentucky Lake Tournament

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., July 22, 2010 -- The nationally-ranked Southeast Missouri State University Bass Anglers completed an excellent weekend of fishing as they took home the second place trophy in the BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Open at Kentucky Lake.

The event, held June 24-25, showcased the very best collegiate fishing teams from across the country. Students Jim McDevitt, a junior from Eldon, Mo., and Tim Randell, a sophomore from St. Charles, Mo., caught 39.9 pounds of fish on the first day and returned with 45.95 pounds of fish on the second day of the tournament.

The team won more than $1,000 for their fishing club and various gifts certificates from tournament sponsors.
