2012 Fall Pre-Nursing Group Advising
This information is for main campus pre-nursing students only, and does not apply to nursing students at regional centers. This page contains information on how to receive your enrollment PIN. Be sure not to miss your priority registration date!
It’s Important!
The faculty in the Department of Nursing will be advising all pre-nursing students.Priority enrollment begins the first week in November.In order to receive the PIN number you will need to enroll in Spring 2012 classes, you must bring a copy of your new DegreeWorks when you attend one of the group advising sessions with nursing faculty. Individual assistance will be available at the end of each group advising session. Please come at the beginning of the session.

Make your appointment by e-mailing the Department of Nursing at tclark@semo.edu with your choice of the following group advising sessions on the 3rd floor of Crisp Hall of Nursing.
Mon. March 19 (Room CH332) choose 11:00-12:00 or 12:00-1:00
Tues. March 20 (Room CH333) choose 10:00-11:00, 11:00-12:00, 1:00-2:00, or 2:00-3:00
Wed. March 21 (Room CH 323) choose 1:00-2:00 or 2:00-3:00
Mon. March 26 (Room CH332) choose 11:00-12:00 or 12:00-1:00
Wed March 28 (Room CH333) choose 10:00-11:00 or 11:00-12:00
What to bring! A current copy of your DegreeWorks.
• Log into your MySoutheast account at http://portal.semo.edu
• Click on the Student tab.
• On the right side of screen, scroll down to find the “Bookmarks Plus” channel
• Click on the DegreeWorks Student link
• Your degree/major information will be automatically loaded into the DegreeWorks system. Note that the portal will still be running in the background so both the portal and DegreeWorks will be open for use and review.
• Bring a printout of your new DegreeWorks progress tool to your Group Advising session.
When to arrive! On time - A few minutes early would be even better.
Priority registration begins April 2, 2012. You must have a PIN to enroll. (Your priority registration date is determined by the number of completed hours documented on DegreeWorks - this does not include current hours in progress.
Individual assistance will be available at the end of each group advising session and by appointment with your advisor, if necessary. HOWEVER, ATTENDANCE AT A GROUP ADVISING SESSION IS MANDATORY.
