As of January 2018, academic departments are invited to participate in an annual Departmental Student Success Survey.
The purpose of this survey is to gain insight into what is working well to support freshmen retention and students’ persistence to graduation, and to share these ideas with others across our campus community. A secondary objective of this survey is to gain a better understanding of what departments are doing to improve student retention and graduation rates, so that others can learn from these efforts.

Who should complete the survey?
Ideally, the survey is completed in a collaborative manner, perhaps at a department meeting or by inviting program coordinators to provide input.
Do we use one survey per department or per program?
Please complete one survey per department. As you complete the survey, please identify when a particular strategy or idea is specific to a program.
How will our responses be used?
The University Task Force for Student Success will review the responses, and will be in touch with certain departments to create showcase pieces, best practices, and other resources based on the ideas and examples you provide.
