Rock Climbing:
January 27, 2009 - 6 p.m., SRC - North
This hands-on workshop is for both the beginner and longtime climber. Learn to use the power of your torso and abdominals to climb. Topics will include: harnessing, belaying, advanced climbing techniques, ratings, and lead climbing. The wall will be available afterward to hone your skills.
Triathlon Training – Conquering the Swim:
February 10, 2009 - 6 p.m., SRC - North
The first in a two-part series designed to get you in shape for the upcoming race season. Whether training for your first “sprint” or your first “Irondistance,” or even just interested in improving your swimming, you will benefit from this workshop led by age-group National qualifier Eric Redinger. Topics will include efficient swimming tips, pool-swimming vs. open water swimming, wetsuit concerns, and how to train for maximum efficiency. Dress accordingly for swimming! We recommend goggles.

March 10, 2009 - 6 p.m., SRC - North
The second in a two-part series designed to get you in shape for the upcoming race season (you do not need to attend the first in order to participate). Whether training for your first “sprint” or your first “Iron-distance,” or even just interested in improving your biking or running, you will benefit from this workshop led by agegroup National qualifier Eric Redinger. Topics will include efficient bicycle positioning for the optimal blend of aerodynamics and power, running after the bike, and how to blaze through transitions. Dress accordingly to run!
